Description[]
The Shred-4 is an LMG featured in MC3 that appears statistically weaker to it's cousin in MC2. It has low range, damage and mobility, moderate accuracy but a suprisingly high rate of fire and large clip. It's high rate of fire and large clip might be the only thing that can make up for it's otherwise bad stats.
Multiplayer[]
The Shred-4 is not a pick for most multiplayers since it has disadvantages written all over it. But it has uses too, One method is spraying, where you fire like rambo on andrenalin pills, or use it for assaulting since it is almost an instant killl for shorter ranges although the Automat-X is a much better replacement for this.
Availability[]
The Shred-4 Is available in Mission 5 as a primary weapon and in Mission 7, 8 and 13 as available pickup. It is also featured in training day.
Trivia[]
- In campaign mode (except for Hard and Extreme) The Shred-4 appears more powerful than it's multiplayer stats (i.e. blowing up APC's and motorbikes with just a few bullets).
- Some notable KPR troops that used the Shred-4 is in Mission 5 (After breaking into the village), Misssion 7 (The guy beside the turret and in the train station), Mission 8 (after the tank factory) and in Mission 13 (the area with generators that look like jet engines).
- The Shred-4 has a smiley on it's handle and 6 scratch marks in it's magazine.
- The reload animation of the Shred-4 appears to be more gentle than the M249 in MC2.
- The Shred-4 in Mission 7 has a red dot attached to it.
- In Multiplayer, Challenges, the attachments icon has a Shred-4 with an ACOG scope. This is a very effective attachment for the Shred-4 along with thebgrip since visual recoil is reduced when aiming down the sights. This combination however, is recommended only for close, close medium, medium and medium long ranges since the bullets will vanish completely at long ranges.
